Date: November 7, 2019
Rather expected game when 8th ranked UBSC Graz (1-6) was crushed at home by sixth ranked Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (4-3) 87-67 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Raiffeisen Flyers Wels. UBSC Graz was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Cameron DeLaney (193-95, college: SHSU) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. The former international Davor Lamesic (205-83, agency: Interperformances) helped adding 13 points and 10 rebounds. Four Raiffeisen Flyers Wels players scored in double figures. At the losing side Serbian-German forward Andrija Matic (208-96, college: Keiser) responded with 16 points and 7 rebounds and Croatian Marko Car (188-85) scored 13 points and 5 assists. UBSC Graz's coach Ervin Dragsic rotated twelve players seeing no chance for a win. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels moved-up to fifth place, which they share with St.Poelten. UBSC Graz lost their third game in a row. They keep the eighth position with six games lost. Raiffeisen Flyers Wels will face higher ranked Kapfenberg Bulls (#3) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. UBSC Graz will play against Timberwolves (#10) in Vienna and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
