Regular Season Round 11: Vytis - Taurages 109-96

An interesting game took place in Sakiai where higher ranked Taurages (4-6) was upset on the court of eleventh ranked Vytis (5-6) 109-96 on Thursday. Vytis shot the lights out from three sinking 20 long-distance shots on high 51.3 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was Justas Sakalauskas (200-96) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Marijus Uzupis (197-93) chipped in 21 points. Four Vytis players scored in double figures. Forward Rytis Biliartas (201-91) produced 22 points and 5 rebounds and center Deividas Keburys (201-90) added 20 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Vytis moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Delikatesas and Ezerunas. Taurages lost their fifth game in a row. They dropped to the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Palanga and Gargzdu. Vytis will meet Palanga (#12) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Taurages will play against Suduva-Mantinga and hope to secure a win.
