Regular Season Round 8: SISU - Herlev 52-58
Date: November 8, 2019
The game in Copenhagen was also quite interesting. Third ranked Herlev (5-2) played at the court of 6th ranked SISU (2-5). Herlev managed to secure a 6-point victory 58-52 on Friday. The guests trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 18-8 charge in the third quarter, which allowed them to win the game. Herlev outrebounded SISU 44-28 including a 20-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. The winners were led by forward Emilie Larsen (175-1) who scored that evening 18 points and 7 rebounds and forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) supported her with 14 points and 7 rebounds. Even 17 points by guard Taylor Gleason (173-95, college: Oakland) did not help to save the game for SISU. The former international guard Ida Pretzmann (178-90, college: TCU) added 11 points and 5 rebounds for the hosts. SISU's coach Eleni Kafantari rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Herlev have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 5-2 record having just two points less than leader Horsholm. SISU lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth place with five games lost. They share the position with Vaerlose. Herlev will meet at home league's leader Horsholm in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. SISU will play against Vaerlose (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
