No shocking result in a game when third ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (8-3) crushed bottom-ranked ETB Wohnbau (0-11) in Essen 111-85 on Saturday. Dragons Rhoendorf forced 22 ETB Wohnbau turnovers. Strangely ETB Wohnbau outrebounded Dragons Rhoendorf 42-29 including 16 on the offensive glass. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 29 assists comparing to just 7 passes made by ETB Wohnbau's players. American swingman Curtis Hollis (198-98, college: Hutchinson CC) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points, 9 rebounds, 8 assists and 5 steals. Spanish point guard Enric Garrido (180-82) contributed with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. American guard Chris Alexander (186-83, college: Southern) replied with 32 points and 5 rebounds and British power forward Radwan Bakkali (208-96, college: Indianapolis) added 16 points and 15 rebounds in the effort for ETB Wohnbau. Five Dragons Rhoendorf and four ETB Wohnbau players scored in double figures. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Dragons Rhoendorf have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain third position in West with 8-3 record having just five point less than leader Ansbach, which they share with Hertener Loewen.
