The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of Balkan (5-1) in Botevgrad on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked Beroe (5-1) 94-86. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of Balkan. Beroe looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. It was a good game for the former international Ivan Lilov (194-88) who led his team to a victory with 25 points and 5 assists. American guard Austin Price (193-95, college: Lehigh) contributed with 17 points and 7 assists for the winners. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. International Dimitar Dimitrov (203-93) replied with 21 points and 5 rebounds and American point guard Jordan Callahan (185-90, college: Tulane) added 8 points and 9 assists in the effort for Balkan. Balkan's coach Jovica Arsic rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Beroe have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place, which they share with Balkan and Rilski.
