Regular Season Round 7: Besiktas - TED Ankara 85-80

Very important is a road loss of third ranked TED Ankara (5-2) against fifth ranked Besiktas (4-3) on Saturday night. Visiting TED Ankara was defeated by Besiktas in a tough game in Istanbul 80-85. Besiktas looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. It was a great evening for Emir Yarici (-1) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ali Erdal (-3) helped adding 17 points. Four Besiktas players scored in double figures. At the losing side center Cihat Dalgali (205-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 12 rebounds and guard Yusuf Bayar (190-2) scored 23 points. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. Besiktas moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser TED Ankara keeps the third position with two games lost. They share it with Turk Telekom. Besiktas will meet Gaziantep (#7) on the road in the next round. TED Ankara's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Ankara Ormanspor.
