Regular Season Round 5: Balikesir - Ankara B. 95-72

TBL top team - Balikesir (5-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Ankara B. (0-5) 95-72. Balikesir looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. The best player for the winners was American point guard Myles Mack (178-93, college: Rutgers, agency: HMS) who scored 23 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists. Mahmut-Can Cetin (-0) chipped in 24 points and 5 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Balikesir's coach felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Larry Austin-Jr (188-96, college: Cent Michigan) produced a double-double by scoring 17 points, 5 rebounds and 10 assists and swingman Ilhan Gokalp (197-91) added 14 points respectively for the guests. Four Ankara B. players scored in double figures. Balikesir have an impressive series of five victories in a row. Newly promoted Balikesir maintains first place with 5-0 record. Ankara B. at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with five games lost. They share the position with Gemlik. Balikesir will meet Socar Petkim (#8) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Ankara B. will play against Final Spor (#9) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
