Elazig (3-1) recorded its first loss in Istanbul on Saturday night. Visitors were edged by leader Galatasaray (4-0) 69-66. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Elazig. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Galatasaray made 17-of-21 free shots (81.0 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was French-American guard Bria Hartley (173-92, college: Connecticut) who scored 36 points (!!!). The former international forward Sinem Atas (185-95) chipped in 7 points and 7 rebounds. Galatasaray are looking forward to face bottom-ranked Canik Belediye (#13) in Samsun in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Elazig will play on the road against Besiktas (#12) in Istanbul and is hoping to win this game.
