Regular Season Round 9: KOS - Blackbirds 75-84

2.Bundesliga top team - Blackbirds (7-2) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat tenth ranked KOS (3-6) in Celovec 84-75. The guests were already 24 points ahead at halftime and as many as 28 after three quarters before a 32-13 last quarter charge of KOS cut the lead to 84-75 at the end of the game. KOS was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. Croatian center Marko Moric (205-81) nailed a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and international forward Sebastian Koch (201-88) accounted for 24 points and 6 rebounds. Four Blackbirds players scored in double figures. Slovenian forward Lovro Fizuleto (200-92) came up with 15 points and Slovenian guard Tiso Cvetkovic (190-86) added 19 points respectively for KOS in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Blackbirds have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 7-2 record, which they share with Lions. KOS at the other side keeps the tenth position with six games lost. They share it with Tirol. Blackbirds will play against Flames (#6) in Vienna in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KOS will play on the road against Worthersee Piraten (#7) in Klagenfurt and hopes to get back on the winning track.
