Regular Season Round 8: Bayern 2 - Wuerzburg 82-93

ProB top team - Wuerzburg (7-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat ninth ranked FC Bayern II (3-5) in Muenchen 93-82. Wuerzburg forced 22 FC Bayern II turnovers. Strangely FC Bayern II outrebounded Wuerzburg 39-23 including a 14-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 26 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by FC Bayern II's players. Lithuanian forward Rytis Pipiras (201-95) orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 5 rebounds. American guard Cameron Hunt (196, college: Southwestern, KS) contributed with 28 points, 6 assists and 4 steals for the winners. Jacob Knauf (210-97) replied with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) and Italian Sasha Grant (198-2) added 25 points in the effort for FC Bayern II. Four FC Bayern II players scored in double figures. Wuerzburg have an impressive five-game winning streak. They maintain first position in South with 7-1 record. FC Bayern II lost third consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with five games lost. Wuerzburg's next round opponent will be White Wings (#5) in Hanau.
