Regular Season Round 8: DYUSH-DOR - KDPU 77-108

Leader KDPU delivered the seventh victory on Sunday night. This time they crushed 7th ranked DYUSH-DOR (2-6) 108-77 in Dnipro. The game without a history. KDPU led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to DYUSH-DOR's 30. KDPU forced 21 DYUSH-DOR turnovers and outrebounded them 43-26 including a 18-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 32 assists. The best player for the winners was Artem Vodolazsky who scored 18 points and 6 assists. Stanislav Serpilin (193-93) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Four KDPU players scored in double figures. Sergiy Miasoedov (190-94) produced 17 points and 5 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) and forward Oleksandr Kuznetsov (196-78) added 18 points respectively for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. KDPU (7-1) have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position, which they share with Ternopil-TNEU. DYUSH-DOR lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with six games lost. KDPU will have a break next round. DYUSH-DOR will play on the road against Niko-Basket (#3) in Mykolaiv and hope to win that game.
