No shocking result in a game in Erfurt where third ranked Elchingen (6-2) won against 11th ranked Loewen (1-7) 89-77. American power forward Lamar Mallory (201-90, college: Glenville St.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds. Jacob Mampuya (200-94) contributed with 17 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Mallory is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. American forward Robert Franklin (195-81, college: N.Mexico Highlands) replied with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Oliver Pahnke (187-98) added 17 points and 4 assists in the effort for Loewen. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Elchingen have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Baunach. Loewen lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with seven games lost.
