Important game to mention about took place in Istanbul. Eighth ranked Arel Univ (2-5) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Tesvikiye (3-4) 78-77 on Sunday evening. Worth to mention a great performance of Berat Akin (-2) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 12 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists. Safak Yurdakulu (-1) contributed with 15 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Arel Univ players scored in double figures. Ege Eskinazi answered with 13 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and Ahmet Yilmaz added 12 points and 14 rebounds in the effort for Tesvikiye. Tesvikiye's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arel Univ moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bahcehir and Gaziantep. Tesvikiye at the other side keeps the sixth position with four games lost. They share it with Gelisim Koleji. Arel Univ will play against Afyon (#10) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round. Tesvikiye will play on the road against Turk Telekom (#3) in Ankara and hopes to get back on the winning track.
