Very important is a home loss of third ranked Copenhagen (2-7) against fifth ranked Svendborg (4-5) on Tuesday night. Host Copenhagen was crushed by Svendborg in Copenhagen 103-77. The game was mostly controlled by Svendborg. Copenhagen was better in fourth quarter 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Svendborg dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Copenhagen's 32. They outrebounded Copenhagen 47-35 including 36 on the defensive glass. American forward Zach Charles (201-95, college: EKU) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds for the winners and point guard Oscar Teglgaard (185-98) chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds. Five Svendborg players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Patrick Burke (202-96, college: DBU) with 15 points and 6 rebounds and Filip Rajovic (198-97) scored 13 points and 8 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Svendborg have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Wolfpack. Copenhagen lost sixth consecutive game. They keep the third place with seven games lost. Svendborg will play against league's second-placed Vaerlose at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Copenhagen will play against the league's second-placed Bakken and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
