Liga Nationala top team - Voluntari (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed seventh ranked Miercurea Ciuc (1-5) 102-65. The game without a history. Voluntari led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Miercurea Ciuc's 38. They outrebounded Miercurea Ciuc 36-20 including a 25-11 advantage in defensive rebounds. Voluntari looked well-organized offensively handing out 34 assists comparing to just 16 passes made by Miercurea Ciuc's players. Serbian Andrija Bojic (207-93, agency: BeoExcell) scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and Montenegrin point guard Goran Martinic (187-87) chipped in 14 points and 8 assists during the contest. Five Voluntari players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Canadian forward Meshack Lufile (203-92, college: Cape Breton) with 22 points and 5 rebounds and forward Adrian Movileanu (195-93) scored 19 points and 5 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Voluntari maintains first position in Nationala with 6-0 record. Loser Miercurea Ciuc keeps the seventh place with five games lost. Voluntari will face Targu Jiu (#8) in Mures in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Miercurea Ciuc will play at home against Focsani and hope to win that game.
