Regular Season Round 10: Mustangs - BBU Salzburg 89-53

The game with biggest result difference took place in Mistelbach. Local Mustangs (7-3) outscored 8th ranked BBU (4-6) 89-53 on Saturday night. The game was mostly controlled by Mustangs. BBU managed to win fourth quarter 20-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mustangs forced 19 BBU turnovers and outrebounded them 48-37 including a 39-28 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Mustangs made 13 blocks. Czech swingman Michal Kremen (198-81, agency: Octagon Europe) scored 18 points and 7 rebounds (perfect from the field making all seven shots !!!) to lead the charge for the winners and Czech forward Jakub Krakovic (205-90) chipped in 15 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. Mustangs' coach Martin Weissenboeck felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side swingman Thomas Buchegger (189-98) responded with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 11 rebounds and guard Adrian Mitchell (188-95) scored 12 points and 4 assists. Mustangs maintains third position with 7-3 record behind leader Blackbirds, which they share with Rocks. BBU lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Nord Dragonz. Mustangs will meet Raiders Tirol (#11) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BBU will play against Nord Dragonz and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
