Regular Season Round 9: Schwabing - Bayern 3 94-78

There was a surprise result when fourteenth ranked Schwabing (2-5) won against at home higher ranked FC Bayern III (4-4) 94-78 on Saturday. Schwabing dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to FC Bayern III's 34. Schwabing forced 22 FC Bayern III turnovers. Lukas Zerner (200-0) stepped up and scored 19 points for the winners and Tristan Da Silva (203-1) chipped in 13 points and 5 assists. Schwabing's coach used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The best for the losing side was Constantin Schmitt (200-97) with 17 points and 5 rebounds and Jannick Jebens (199-98) scored 16 points and 4 assists. Four Schwabing and five FC Bayern III players scored in double figures. Schwabing moved-up to thirteenth place in South-East. Newly promoted FC Bayern III dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Schwabing will face higher ranked Regnitztal (#6) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
