Regular Season Round 9: Oberhaching - Speyer 79-87

Everything went according to plan in Deisenhofen where seventh ranked Speyer (5-4) won against 12th ranked Oberhaching (1-8) 87-79 on Saturday. The best player for the winners was Dominican-Spanish power forward Michel Acosta (201-92) who scored 24 points and 8 rebounds. American guard DJ Woodmore (190-92, college: Va.Wesleyan) chipped in 20 points and 5 rebounds. Four Speyer players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Janosch Koegler (190-93) who recorded 21 points and center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: MSUB) added 9 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks respectively. Speyer moved-up to fourth place in South, which they share with Coburg and Fraport SKY II. Oberhaching lost their seventh game in a row. Oberhaching at the other side, also newcomer in the league, dropped to the eleventh position with eight games lost. Speyer will face Fraport Skyliners II (#5) in Frankfurt in the next round. Oberhaching will play on the road against Coburg (#4) and hope to win that game.
