Rather predictable result when third ranked Pinar Karsiyaka (7-1) smashed at home 6th ranked Galatasaray (5-3) 84-55 on Saturday. Worth to mention a great performance of Senegalese-French Amath MBaye (206-89, college: Oklahoma) who helped to win the game recording 15 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Yunus Sonsirma (192-92) who added 16 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Pinar Karsiyaka players scored in double figures. American Aaron Harrison (198-94, college: Kentucky) responded with 10 points and international power forward Ege Arar (208-96) scored 8 points and 6 rebounds. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Pinar Karsiyaka keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Anadolu Efes and Fenerbahce. Loser Galatasaray keeps the sixth place with three games lost. Pinar Karsiyaka will face Afyon Bld (#10) in Afyonkarahisar in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Galatasaray will play at home against OGM Orman (#9) and hope to win that game.
