Very predictable result when third ranked Elchingen (7-2) beat at home 10th ranked FC Bayern II (3-6) 79-68 on Saturday. Elchingen forced 27 FC Bayern II turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Darian Cardenas (198-95) who scored 26 points and 5 assists. American power forward Lamar Mallory (201-90, college: Glenville St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 15 points and 13 rebounds. Mallory is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was Jacob Knauf (210-97) who recorded a double-double by scoring 21 points and 19 rebounds and Austrian Erol Ersek (193-99) added 16 points respectively. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Elchingen. They moved-up to second place in South, which they share with Baunach. FC Bayern II lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the tenth position with six games lost. Elchingen will face OrangeAcademy (#9) in Ulm in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FC Bayern II will play at home against White Wings and hope to win that game.
