This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Timberwolves (1-5) to sixth ranked Linz Wels (1-5) 54-52 in the game for the fifth place. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 16-6 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Center Flora God (185-1) replied with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 16 rebounds and swingman Petra Pammer (175-0) added 15 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Timberwolves. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Linz Wels left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with defeated Timberwolves. It was Timberwolves' fifth loss in a row. Linz Wels is looking forward to face higher ranked BK Duchess (#3) in Klosterneuburg in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Timberwolves' supporters also look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Vienna Flying Foxes.
