Regular Season Round 8: Gmunden - Vienna 90-74

Date: November 17, 2019
There was no surprise when 9th ranked Hallmann (1-7) was defeated on the road by third ranked Gmunden Swans (6-2) 90-74. The game without a history. Gmunden Swans led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 25 assists. The winners were led by American forward Jordan Loveridge (198-93, college: Utah) who scored that evening 25 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and the former international point guard Daniel Friedrich (181-92) supported him with 24 points and 8 assists. Even 27 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!) by Israeli center Anton Shoutvin (206-89) did not help to save the game for Hallmann. Point guard Luka Gvozden (184-93) added 14 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists for the guests. Four Hallmann players scored in double figures. Gmunden Swans maintains third position with 6-2 record behind leader Oberwart. Hallmann lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the ninth place with seven games lost. Gmunden Swans' next round opponent will be Raiffeisen Flyers Wels (#4) at home. Hallmann will play against the league's second-placed Dukes (#2) and hope to win that game.
