Regular Season Round 9: EBAA - Amager 78-93

Date: November 17, 2019
Amager BK's fans can finally celebrate the first win of their team after six consecutive losses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Aarhus, where they defeated EBAA (1-8) 93-78 on Sunday. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 6-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 93-78. It was a good game for American guard Robert Fields (184-88, college: Catawba) who led his team to a victory with 16 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Australian power forward Louis Timms (206-91, college: Wayland Baptist) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Fields is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Amager BK players scored in double figures. American center Keane Thomann (211-89, college: Missouri So.) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and center Jonas Schaarup (203-93) added 18 points (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) in the effort for EBAA. EBAA's coach Mads Sigersted rotated twelve players and allowed the starting five to rest. Amager BK (1-6) left bottom position moving up to fourth place. Loser EBAA dropped to the fifth position with eight games lost. Amager BK will face league's leader Wolfpack in Herlev in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
