Important game to mention about took place in Oldenburg. Fourth ranked BA Weser-Ems (2-2) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Phoenix Juniors (1-4) 52-49 on Sunday evening. Strangely Phoenix Juniors outrebounded BA Weser-Ems 51-31 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. Alexander Hopp (201-1) stepped up and scored 22 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Austrian point guard David Makivic (190-1) chipped in 8 points and 5 rebounds. Daniel Zdravevski (207-1) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 19 rebounds and 4 assists and Emil Loch (198-2, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) produced a double-double by scoring 16 points and 11 rebounds. Phoenix Juniors' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BA Weser-Ems moved-up to third place in B North-West, which they share with Muenster U19. Phoenix Juniors lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fifth position with four games lost. BA Weser-Ems will face Muenster U19 (#4) in the next round. Phoenix Juniors will play against the league's second-placed Duesseldorf U19 in Dusseldorf and hope to win that game.
