Regular Season Round 9: Herlev - Horsholm 69-75 OT

Herlev (#3) forced the game against Horsholm (#1) into an overtime, but lost by six points 69-75 on Tuesday night. The game took place in Herlev. But the guests from Horsholm were better at the end. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Herlev. The guests trailed by 1 point after three quarters before their 11-10 charge, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time and get a 6-point victory in overtime. American forward Alyssa Rader (188-97, college: S.Florida) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 19 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals for the winners and Serbian forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) chipped in 12 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. The best for the losing side was forward Emilie Larsen (175-1) with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and international forward Ellen Iversen (180-97) scored 13 points (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Horsholm (8-0) have an impressive series of eight victories in a row. They maintain first place with a perfect record of 8 victories in a row. Herlev at the other side keeps the third position with three games lost. Horsholm will face Aabyhoj (#4) on the road in the next round. Herlev will play against the league's second-placed Amager and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
