The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Telsiai as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Telsiai smashed 11th ranked Taurages in Telsiu 88-65. Telsiai dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Taurages' 24. Telsiai forced 20 Taurages turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Taurages' players. Worth to mention a great performance of point guard Mindaugas Stasys (180-86) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 9 assists. Point guard Ignas Razutis (185-87) contributed with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 10 assists for the winners. Five Telsiai players scored in double figures. Center Deividas Keburys (201-90) replied with 11 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Karolis Babkauskas (185-91, agency: Agency) added 9 points and 8 rebounds in the effort for Taurages. Telsiai have a solid three-game winning streak. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Silute. Taurages at the other side keeps the eleventh place with ten games lost. They share the position with Ereliai Mazeikiai and Palanga. Taurages will play next round against Jonava trying to get back on the winning streak. Telsiai will try to continue on its current victory against fourteenth ranked Silales Lusis in Rietavas.
