Regular Season Round 7: Dinamo B. - Pitesti 86-72
Date: November 22, 2019
Not a big story in a game when 8th ranked Pitesti (1-7) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked CS Dinamo Bucuresti (3-5) 86-72 on Friday. The game was mostly controlled by CS Dinamo Bucuresti. Pitesti was better in fourth quarter 20-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Pitesti 33-21 including 21 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for Senegalese power forward Ousmane Barro (207-84, college: Marquette) who led his team to a victory scoring 16 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all six shots). Jamaican-Canadian guard Javon Masters (183-94, college: UNB, agency: Blacktop Management) helped adding 14 points and 8 assists. At the losing side Serbian forward Danilo Tasic (207-93, agency: 011 Sports) responded with 22 points (on 8-of-9 shooting from the field) and American center Devin Searcy (208-89, college: Dayton) scored 11 points and 7 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Despite that victory CS Dinamo Bucuresti went down to sixth position (Nationala) due to points difference. Pitesti at the other side keeps the eighth place with seven games lost. CS Dinamo Bucuresti will face league's leader Cluj Napoca on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Pitesti will play against Timisoara (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
