No shocking result in a game when third ranked Dragons Rhoendorf (10-3) smashed at home 8th ranked Dorsten (6-7) 104-76 on Saturday. They outrebounded Dorsten 45-30 including a 34-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. Dragons Rhoendorf looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. American swingman Curtis Hollis (198-98, college: Hutchinson CC) fired a double-double by scoring 23 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Slovenian power forward Jure Besedic (207-92) chipped in 22 points and 6 rebounds. Five Dragons Rhoendorf players scored in double figures. Dragons Rhoendorf's coach felt very confident that he used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Adam Pickett (185-94, college: Winthrop) produced 27 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jonas Peters (197-97) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. Dragons Rhoendorf have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in West, which they share with Ibbenbueren. Dorsten lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth position with seven games lost. Dragons Rhoendorf will face BSV Wulfen (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Dorsten will play against Grevenbroich (#11) and hope to win that game.
