Regular Season Round 10: Schwelm EN - Muenster 98-91

An interesting game for SG Schwelmer Baskets (8-2) which hosted in Schwelm 4th ranked Muenster (6-4). Second ranked SG Schwelmer Baskets managed to get a 7-point victory 98-91. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Muenster. SG Schwelmer Baskets made 31-of-35 free shots (88.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Muenster was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American-Panamanian forward Anell Alexis (200-90, college: Marist) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 27 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists (made all of his ten free throws !!!). American guard Montrael Scott (190-93, college: PVAMU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 21 points, 6 rebounds and 14 assists for the winners. American guard Jojo Cooper (183-95, college: Wagner) replied with 28 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and 6 steals and Stefan Wess (204-94) added 17 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Muenster. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Muenster's coach Phillip Kappenstein let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. SG Schwelmer Baskets keep a position of North leader, which they share with BSW Sixers. Loser Muenster dropped to the third place with four games lost. SG Schwelmer Baskets will face league's leader Sixers in Sandersdorf in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Muenster will play at home against SparkassenStars and hope to win that game.
