Regular Season Round 9: Darussafaka - Besiktas 81-67

Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Istanbul: Darussafaka (#5) and Besiktas (#4). Darussafaka (5-4) won against visiting Besiktas (4-5) 81-67. They outrebounded Besiktas 43-32 including 31 on the defensive glass. 25 personal fouls committed by Besiktas helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was a good game for Said Yosmaoglu (-3) who led his team to a victory with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists. Forward Enes Tuzun (196-3) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Umut Ozcan (-2) answered with 21 points and 9 rebounds and Tolga Deliktas (-3) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Besiktas. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Darussafaka moved-up to fourth place. Besiktas at the other side dropped to the fifth position with five games lost. Darussafaka's next round opponent will be Ormanspor (#6) in Ankara. Besiktas' supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Istanbul to the arena FMV Isik BB.
