Rather predictable result in Muenchen where fourth ranked Topstar (6-3) beat 7th ranked FC Bayern III (4-5) 83-77 on Saturday. FC Bayern III was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. American guard Charlie Brown (185, college: Minn.St.-Mankato, agency: One Motive Sports) fired 24 points and 4 steals for the winners. Guard Jonas Sauer (187-99) chipped in 21 points. Austrian Erol Ersek (193-99) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists and Constantin Schmitt (200-97) added 18 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. FC Bayern III's coach tested eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Topstar moved-up to second place in South-East, which they share with Bamberg. Newly promoted FC Bayern III dropped to the ninth position with five games lost. Topstar will face Regnitztal (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. FC Bayern III will play against Jena II and hope to win that game.
