Very expected game in Frankfurt where 10th ranked Deutsche Bank Skyliners (3-6) were defeated by third ranked Brose Baskets (7-2) 87-72 on Saturday. Brose Baskets shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. American forward Tre McLean (196-93, college: Chattanooga) stepped up and scored 16 points and 5 rebounds for the winners and Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-92, college: Minn.St.-Mankato) chipped in 11 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was American guard Quantez Robertson (188-84, college: Auburn, agency: Interperformances) with 12 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import guard Matt McQuaid (193-95, college: Michigan St.) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Brose Baskets maintains third place with 7-2 record behind leader Bayern. Loser Deutsche Bank Skyliners dropped to the thirteenth position with six games lost.
