There was an upset when higher ranked Coburg (5-5) lost at home to twelfth ranked Oberhaching (2-8) 76-68 on Saturday. Oberhaching made 25-of-28 free shots (89.3 percent) during the game. Oberhaching outrebounded Coburg 40-21 including a 30-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. Coburg was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for center Moritz Wohlers (203-84, college: MSUB) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points and 17 rebounds. Chris Wurmseher (192-97) contributed with 14 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Nigerian-American forward Princeton Onwas (198-93, college: SJSU) replied with 20 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Constantin Ebert (184-96) added 15 points in the effort for Coburg. Coburg's coach Ulf Schabacker gave the chance to play for ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Oberhaching moved-up to eleventh place in South. Loser Coburg dropped to the sixth position with five games lost. Oberhaching will face higher ranked Baunach (#3) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
