Regular Season Round 10: OrangeAcademy - Elchingen 80-95

Everything went according to plan when third ranked Elchingen (8-2) defeated 9th ranked OrangeAcademy (4-6) in Ulm 95-80 on Saturday. Elchingen shot 61.2 percent from the field. Elchingen outrebounded OrangeAcademy 29-15 including a 24-9 advantage in defensive rebounds. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 60.0 percentage. Elchingen looked well-organized offensively handing out 28 assists. Quite impressive performance for swingman Eric Curth (193-92) who helped to win the game recording 23 points. Darian Cardenas (198-95) contributed with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. Four Elchingen players scored in double figures. Naturalized American point guard Zachary Ensminger (194-1) replied with 17 points and forward Moritz Krimmer (202-0, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 11 points in the effort for OrangeAcademy. OrangeAcademy's coach Anton Gavel gave the chance to play for ten players and allowed the starting five to rest. Elchingen have an impressive five-game winning streak. They moved-up to second place in South. Loser OrangeAcademy keeps the ninth position with six games lost. Elchingen will face league's leader Wuerzburg at home in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. OrangeAcademy will play against White Wings (#5) in Hanau and hope to win that game.
