No shocking result in a game when second ranked Idstein (8-2) defeated on the road 13th ranked Kronberg (2-8) 95-88 on Saturday. Idstein made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Idstein outrebounded Kronberg 38-25 including 26 on the defensive glass. Czech Jan Dolejsi (187-92) fired 33 points (!!!) for the winners. American guard Julian DeBose (193-92, college: FGCU) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. American point guard Kewan Beebe (183-93, college: Geneseo St.) produced 20 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Yannick Schicktanz (186-90) added 20 points and 4 assists respectively for lost side. Four Kronberg players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Idstein maintains second position in South-West with 8-2 record despite having the same number of points like the leader Ansbach. Loser Kronberg dropped to the fourteenth place with eight games lost. Idstein will face Koblenz (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Kronberg will play against Saarlouis/Dillingen (#9) and hope to win that game.
