The most interesting game was a derby match between two local teams from Sofia: NSA (#3) and Septemvri 97 (#4). NSA (3-2) won against visiting Septemvri 97 (1-4) 72-66. NSA had a 38-26 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when NSA made 8 blocks. The former international guard Zornitsa Naydenova (170-89) had a double-double by scoring 15 points, 6 rebounds and 11 assists to lead the charge for the winners and guard Mihaela Kashanova (173-0) chipped in 17 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists during the contest. Four NSA players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was international Konstantina Kakogianni (176-1) with 30 points and center Mina Vasileva (184-2) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 12 rebounds. Septemvri 97's coach Borislava Mandur rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. NSA maintains third position in West with 3-2 record having just two points less than leader Montana. Septemvri 97 lost third consecutive game. They keep the fourth place with four games lost. NSA will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Septemvri 97's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Sofia Champion 2006.
