Flames dominated on the defensive end, holding KOS to just 7 points in second quarter. Flames shot 23 for 34 from the free-throw line, while KOS only scored four points from the stripe. It was an exceptional evening for naturalized Argentinian forward Fabricio Vay (207-86, agency: Interperformances) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists. American-French forward Justin Vallejo (197-95, college: Piedmont) accounted for 15 points and 11 rebounds for the winning side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. KOS's coach Igor Pucko let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Flames (5-5) moved-up to sixth place. KOS lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with eight games lost. They share it with Tirol. Flames will meet at home bottom-ranked Deutsch-Wagram (#12) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. KOS will play against Rocks in Mattersburg and hope to secure a win.
