Regular Season Round 9: Bad Homburg - Ludwigsburg 102-58

Not a big story in a game when 6th ranked Ludwigsburg (3-5) was outscored on the road by third ranked Homburger TG (6-2) 102-58 on Sunday. Homburger TG forced 34 Ludwigsburg turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists comparing to just 6 passes made by Ludwigsburg's players. It was a good game for Spanish forward Nerea Garmendia (181) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 14 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Homburger TG have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain third place in South with 6-2 record having just one victory less than leader Braunschweig. Ludwigsburg lost third consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with five games lost. Homburger TG will face Weiterstadt (#8) on the road in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Ludwigsburg will play against Jahn Muenchen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
