Regular Season Round 10: TKS 49ers - Duesseldorf 84-77

There was an upset when higher ranked Duesseldorf (4-6) lost to eleventh ranked RSV Eintracht (3-7) in Stahnsdorf 77-84 on Sunday. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when RSV Eintracht made 7 blocks. Quite impressive performance for Nigerian forward Chukuka Emili (203-96, college: E.New Mexico) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks. Mubarak Salami (197-96) contributed with 19 points and 4 assists for the winners. Lithuanian forward Dainius Zvinklys (203-90) replied with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 11 rebounds (made all of his ten free throws !!!) and American guard Brady Rose (190-96, college: Illinois Wesleyan) added 19 points (made all of his eight free throws) in the effort for Duesseldorf. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. RSV Eintracht moved-up to tenth place in North, which they share with Iserlohn and Oldenburg. Duesseldorf lost third consecutive game. Duesseldorf at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the seventh position with six games lost. RSV Eintracht will face higher ranked Itzehoe (#3) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
