Regular Season Round 7: Vidabasket - Chavdar 97-119

Division A top team - Chavdar (6-1) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fifth ranked Vidabasket (1-4) in Vidin 119-97. Chavdar well out of reach of Vidabasket shooting 76.3 percent from the field. They shot the lights out from three nailing 15 long-distance shots on high 62.5 percentage. Chavdar players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for the former international forward Stanislav Slaveykov (198-86) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 6 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Point guard Denis Petkov (183-96) helped adding 16 points and 4 assists (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). At the losing side guard Allen Kurshumov (187-1) responded with 27 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists (on 11-of-14 shooting from the field) and swingman Martin Todorov (204-97) scored 19 points and 7 rebounds. Five Chavdar and four Vidabasket players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Chavdar have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They maintain first place with 6-1 record. Vidabasket at the other side keeps the fifth position with four games lost. Chavdar will play against Rilski 2 (#3) in Samokov in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Vidabasket will play at home against the league's second-placed Shumen to get more than just one victory in their record.
