Another exciting game was again a derby between two local teams from Istanbul: Anadolu Efes (#3) and Acibadem (#15). Acibadem was crushed at home by 26 points 67-93. Anadolu Efes made 22-of-26 free shots (84.6 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. American point guard Shane Larkin (180-92, college: Miami, FL) stepped up and scored 22 points for the winners and international swingman Tolga Gecim (206-96) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds. The best for the losing side was Australian-South Sudanese center Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) with a double-double by scoring 12 points and 12 rebounds and American power forward JaJuan Johnson (206-89, college: Purdue) scored 15 points and 8 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Anadolu Efes (8-1) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. Defending champion (8-1) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Pinar Karsiyaka and Fenerbahce. Acibadem at the other side keeps the fifteenth place with eight games lost. They share the position with ITU BB. Anadolu Efes' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Istanbul Galatasaray.
