Regular Season Round 6: Interkhim - Dynamo-NPU 72-75

The most exciting game of round 6 in the Superleague took place in Odessa. This derby game ended with only three-point home defeat of second-best Interkhim (4-3) to third ranked Dynamo-NPU (4-1) 75-72 in the game for the second place. The guests trailed by 7 points after three quarters before their 22-12 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Dynamo-NPU outrebounded Interkhim 44-33 including 18 on the offensive glass. The best player for the winners was power forward Viktoriya Babych (183-99) who had a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds. Forward Viktoriya Kasatkina (187-92) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Dynamo-NPU players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was international guard Yulia Musienko (177-97) who recorded 23 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and center Diana Bondaryuk (197-85) added 13 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Dynamo-NPU have a solid three-game winning streak. Defending champion moved-up to second place. Interkhim at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost. Dynamo-NPU will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Interkhim will play again at home against the league's second-placed Dynamo-NPU and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
