An interesting game was also surprising road defeat of 5th ranked Tofas in a game in Istanbul versus Darussafaka (#8) 69-61. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Darussafaka made 7 blocks. American forward Bonzie Colson-Jr (198-96, college: Notre Dame) notched a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Sinan Guler (192-83, college: Carroll, MT) supported him with 12 points and 5 assists. Four Darussafaka players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds by American center Devin Williams (206-94, college: WVU) did not help to save the game for Tofas. His fellow American import Sammy Mejia (199-83, college: DePaul) added 15 points and 5 rebounds for lost side. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Darussafaka (5-5) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Bursaspor. Loser Tofas keeps the fifth position with three games lost.
