Regular Season Round 11: Bad Aibling - Treuchtlingen 91-80

There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Bad Aibling (5-7) won against at home higher ranked Treuchtlingen (5-6) 91-80 on Saturday. Guard Simon Bradaric orchestrated the victory by scoring 35 points (!!!) and 7 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). Johannes Wienet contributed with a double-double by scoring 13 points, 15 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Forward Simon Geiselsoeder (189-91) answered with 30 points and 7 rebounds and forward Stefan Schmoll (196-89) added 13 points, 8 rebounds and 10 assists in the effort for Treuchtlingen. Five Bad Aibling and four Treuchtlingen players scored in double figures. Treuchtlingen's coach Stephen Harlander rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Bad Aibling moved-up to eleventh place in South-East. Loser Treuchtlingen dropped to the eighth position with six games lost. Bad Aibling will face league's second-placed Bamberg at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
