Very expected game when 15th ranked Acibadem (1-9) lost to fourth ranked Bandirma (8-2) in Balikesir 68-82 on Saturday. It was a very good performance for American center Emanuel Terry (206-96, college: Lincoln Memorial) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). The other American import point guard Jaime Smith (190-89, college: Al.-Huntsville, agency: Wasserman) contributed with 14 points and 7 assists for the winners. Australian-South Sudanese center Mangok Mathiang (208-92, college: Louisville) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 17 rebounds and American point guard Trae Golden (189-91, college: Georgia Tech, agency: Network Sports International) added 12 points and 6 assists in the effort for Acibadem. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Bandirma have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Fenerbahce. Acibadem lost third consecutive game. They keep the fifteenth position with nine games lost. Bandirma will face Galatasaray (#6) in Istanbul in the next round. Acibadem will play at home against Buyukcekmece (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
