The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Crvena Zvezda as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Crvena Zvezda defeated one of their biggest challengers 021 in Beograd 73-65. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of 021. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 8 points after three quarters before their 21-5 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Crvena Zvezda will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Partizan. It will be extra interesting game as Partizan is their local rival from Beograd.
