Regular Season Round 10: Arad - Satu Mare 59-57

There was a change at the Liga Nationala leadership position after last games. Round 10 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Satu Mare (4-1). They were edged by second ranked Arad (4-1) 59-57 on Saturday night. It was a key game for the top position in Nationala. Satu Mare trailed by 15 points after 3 quarters before a 18-5 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 57-59 at the end of the game. American swingman Adrienne Webb (175-90, college: LSU) scored 25 points and 6 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and naturalized Cypriot guard Veatriki Akathiotou (166-95) chipped in 21 points during the contest. At the losing side American Bernice Mosby (186-84, college: Baylor) responded with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 12 rebounds and the former international swingman Andreea Olah (181-86) scored 14 points. Satu Mare's coach Goran Boskovic rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Arad keeps a position of Nationala leader. Satu Mare will play next round against Oradea trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Arad will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Targu Mures at home.
