The game in Sao Joao was also worth to mention about. 7th ranked Sampaense (4-4) played at the court of eighth ranked Sanjoanense (5-4). Sanjoanense managed to secure a 8-point victory 63-55. The best player for the winners was Emanuel Sa who scored 9 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Eduardo Guimaraes (185-92) chipped in 13 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American guard Devin Peterson (185, college: W.Carolina) who recorded a double-double by scoring 12 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and the other American import forward Hassan Thomas (203, college: Emporia St.) added 11 points and 11 rebounds respectively.
