The biggest surprise of round 6 in NBBL was guest TSV Bayer 04's (5-1) road victory over second-best Piraten (4-2) 86-82 on Sunday evening. It was a key game for the second position in A North. TSV Bayer 04 dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Piraten's 30. TSV Bayer 04 forced 21 Piraten turnovers. The best player for the winners was Marcel Kirsch (201-1) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Point guard Henk Droste (195-1) chipped in 16 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was naturalized Icelandic point guard Leif Moeller (190-3) who recorded 28 points and 4 steals and Nikola Sredojevic (189-2) added 21 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. TSV Bayer 04 moved-up to second place in A North. Piraten at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. TSV Bayer 04 are looking forward to face Rostock S.J. (#4) at home in the next round. Piraten will play against the league's leader ALBA Berlin and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
