Regular Season Round 10: Niko-Basket - DYUSH-DOR 102-64

The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Niko-Basket as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Niko-Basket smashed 7th ranked DYUSH-DOR in Mykolaiv 102-64. The game without a history. Niko-Basket led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 12 long-distance shots on high 52.2 percentage. Niko-Basket looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Niko-Basket made 8 blocks. Point guard Mark Bodnar (185-98) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points and 10 assists for the winners. Forward Maksym Shtanko (190-99) chipped in 18 points. Center Pavlo Riazantsev (202-95) produced 14 points and 8 rebounds and Sergiy Miasoedov (190-94) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Ternopil-TNEU. DYUSH-DOR at the other side keeps the seventh place with eight games lost. They share the position with Novomoskovsk. DYUSH-DOR will play next round against strong Mariupol trying to get back on the winning streak. Niko-Basket will try to continue on its current victory against second ranked KDPU in Kryvyi Rih.
